The Saturday before Thanksgiving- we can't wait...

This morning at the bus stop with Luke, I saw 2 pheasants happily hopping along.  I've only seen pheasants once since I've been here and that was 10 years ago in a VERY rural and wooded farm area down south.  I've NEVER seen them near my house.  You guys have seen all the turkey running around, you know there are deer here (I saw one last week eating the neighbor's bushes across the street), now here are the pictures of these creatures.

They were very pretty:

They were walking around and just jumped on this guy's porch.  They weren't too concerned I came to take their picture (with my phone)

A neighbor who walks her dog every single morning said she LOVES them-- they "make the rounds" at her house but I've never seen them.

It was a beautiful Saturday today.  After lounging around doing nothing all the boys went to the lake behind our house.

Because of that STUPID law that says in Pennsylvania we cannot through our electronics in the trash any longer, we now have tv and other appliances showing up in places like a lake.  I predicted this, the idiot lawmakers.  The boys were throwing rocks at it and I wanted to catch the rocks hitting the water.  In this picture you can see that big rock skipping.

When we came home, a huge moth was on our door-- I wanted a picture.  I caught it in a jar and put it on the grass.

The moth flew into one of our trees.  I had my higher zoom lens on and was able to get this great shot with the moth in the tree.

This is back at the lake-- see that grasshopper?
