Today was the Hickory Apple Festival. It was pretty big. We had to park 2 miles away and a shuttle took us to the festival which was at a volunteer fire department.
It was over 80 degrees. There were signs selling hot chocolate, but I'm sure none sold. There was also a stand that cooked outdoor bean soup, with home made bread- I guess it's a "thing" in Hickory but no one was buying soup when it was so warm and humid. I bet it's usually much colder and that stuff sells well.
This is inside the fire hall. That sign is up there all the time, it just happens to be October and the fesival is going on!
This nice guy had a bunch of birds. He let the birds interact with the kids. Luke loves all animals and he loved holding the birds.
A bird on his head and a bird on his finger.
