The guy doesn't have a very accurate political prediction rate, though. He made some snide comment about Bush during his first time and old Davie was wrong.

Letterman
I can't stand Letterman- he's a liberal imbecile-- I can't believe he said this. Although I do LOVE that he said it, and I HOPE he's right!!!!!

Raccoon Creek
45 minutes north of us is a state park called Raccoon Creek- it's a campground, lake, hiking spot, and it's very nice. We all went to the "lake" (which is the "creek" that looks more like a river) ---nice time, great day, perfect temperatures...
It's the end of summer- damn- so Adam, Justin, and Luke were taken out for a good time, they had a lot of fun.
This is Raccoon Creek, really very pleasant and very nice-- I'm not much for spending hours at the beach, but we were there for hours and it was very enjoyable.

Scenes from Raccoon Creek
Kids on the swing
Luke swimming in Raccoon Creek. He used to HATE going underwater, now it looks like he loves it
I told Luke to do something cute-- here he is trying to THINK of something to do cute, which (of course) IS cute
I took the camera in the lake to video all of us, nifty shot

Big Boy Adam goes to Intermediate School Orientation!
Adam is going into the 5th grade-that's unbelievable. 5th grade is "intermediate school'" and it's a brand new building. We've been SO pleased with the public school in out neighborhood- K-4 has been an excellent experience and 5th grade looks fantastic. It's a new building, it has great resources, looks like it has great teachers and I'm sure Adam will love it. We all went to his orientation.
This video starts with his best friend Connor- he's a very good kid and lives in our neighborhood
Adam at his locker-- He's never had a locker, and- get this- they are not allowed to put locks on their locker-- very cool school
Leaving the school and heading off to lunch at Kings restaurant
After the Orientation
We had lunch after Adam's Intermediary School Orientation- some clips
Adam BEGGED for mozzarella sticks and he REALLY wanted and loves cheese casadeas , but he didn't want the cheese hanging out the casadea-- here he's "crying" about food again
The Pupa Project
I found a big ugly thing buried in the garden-- a squirming ugly fat worm thing. I showed the kids and we decided to keep it and see what it was, in the meantime I looked up what it was- and what it turned into, at the end is the link of the "Manduca Project," Manduca being the moth that comes out of the pupa- the kids loved the whole thing
Luke in particular LOVES all things bugs, he wanted to touch the ugly thing- without hesitation, I really didn't even want to touch it at first, but Luke wanted to from the get go
Holding the pupa
Views of our Pupa
A better contrasting view of the pupa
The pupa squirming in it''s new temporary home
Another view of pupa
The Final Stages of the Pupa
The unveiling of the Moth!!! We were so excited and the moth was awesome. Luke wanted to keep him, but it flew away as you'll see. Fly, be free....
Some school does a project with these Caterpillars/pupa called the "Manduca Project" Click on that word to see the life cycle-- I found this site when I found the pupa and correctly identified the moth that was going to come out.
Finding a nice shady spot to hide in, then "SHUT THE DOOR, SHUT THE DOOR..."

At The Beach In Vermilion
After Millhollow and after looking for fossils and crayfish, on a whim we went to a cute little beach in Vermilion and they got to go in the lake-- the water was very warm and they had a blast. This is still part of the Grandparent surprise weekend.
Luke was LOVING going under water and doing his swim thing
Luke enjoying the waves
The Kids At Lake View
It was a very windy day at the Lake. This is Lake View- we saw a huge Buzzard, and Luke loved chasing the sea gulls. Still the Grandparent Surprise weekend.

All Three in the pool
Adam, Justin, and Luke in the kiddie pool. After this there are a lot of videos of Luke- I had to put in a video of all there just to be fair.
Luke In The Pool-- The first time in the summer of 2010
Luke had been in the pool earlier- last year- but this is the first time he really had an recollection of what being in the pool really is. He obviously loves it.
