Ponderosa After Church, Again

I "skyped" with  you when we were at church today and after church we went to Ponderosa.  Here are 2 videos of Luke after we were done eating.

A pretty cute video!

French Toast Saturday

Fascinating, huh?

Lots of eggs- I had to add 6 more later

Beaten eggs- they were bad (as in misbehave not in spoiled).  Eggs + sugar + cinnamon + cream

Groggy Justin- look at the scary creature in the back with the glowing eyes

Cheerful Luke

Too cool Adam

Peter's Lake

When I was talking to you yesterday we were at Peter's Lake in McMurray.

Luke and Justin were with me, Adam is too cool to go there any more.  I took them for slushies then we walked around the lake.

The other lake pictures were Canonsburg Lake, this is Peter's Lake.

You've been to both of them.

At the shallow part of the lake were a bunch of clam-like shells- Luke got a few

Cute Justin with a stick-- they kept hitting trees with their sticks

Luke getting the shells

A pretty view of the lake- It looks like they dammed this up a while ago, I think this is were McMurray gets it's drinking water

What a great shot

Luke running

Years ago I told Adam and Justin to jump on that platform (the lake is behind them).  I want a picture of them in the air.  Here we are again doing that, now with Luke.  Here are some of those shots.

Between jumps

Great shot with both of them in the air-- tough to synchronize this.  Make the picture bigger and look at Luke's face- Looks like pure joy.

Saturday At Aldi And Other Things

We went to the clean store today- Amy, Luke and I and I'm going to include a celery update and a picture of Justin as well as a surprise.

Make sure you keep looking down, the next set of pictures are new pictures of outside, not the old ones.

Our beautiful and clean Aldi

Just arriving-- Luke being silly

The haul

Amy and I loading the car

Thumbs up, Luke

Goofy Justin got mud all over- he didn't want to vaccuume it up.

Luke with our celery experiment-- we named the celery Luke, too!

Growing

And here's your surprise!!!!

First Full Day of Spring in Canonsburgh

Here's what Spring 2014 looked like in the morning, then right before Amy came home from work.

Celery

Here's the growing celery we talked about today on the phone:

About 2 weeks ago I finished cutting the celery from the top- I put it in this container with water and change the water almost every day.

The cutting was perfectly flat-- it started regrowing from the middle

Another perspective

No roots are on the bottom yet, I'd love to plant this and have it grow into another celery.

The Storm

Hasn't really been THAT bad.  It did snow all day- that fine icy snow, I'm sure the roads aren't that good and we're suppose to get more tonight.  The kids are hoping there's no school tomorrow- they're going to hate it when they have to make it up later.

Here are the pics.

We're what's suppose to be the 4"-6" range- it's 5:00 pm and we only got around 3-4 so far.

All the snow had been gone- this is 8:30 am

This is 9:45 am

This is 10:45 am

This is 4:51 pm.  I had Adam and Justin go and shovel, but our nice neighbor- Mike came over with his HUGE snow blower and did most of the driveway for us- very neighborly and nice!

It's clear now and it looks like the clouds are breaking, but supposedly it's suppose to snow all night- we'll see.  The stupid "news" loves to embellish the snow, if this is it, this was nothing.

Calm Before The Storm

It's March 1st.  It was a pretty nice day outside but we were in most of it.  Adam had to get new glasses so Amy took him and I took Justin and Luke to one of our lakes just to get out.  Kind of cool that the lake was frozen.

We're suppose to get HAMMERED by snow Sunday into Monday, so today is the calm before the storm.

If you look closely at the video, you see a hump in the water--that's a drowned deer- poor thing probably fell through the ice.

Here are some photographs:

I walked up to the bridge and took this shot

There are these huge shells all over- Luke loves them, but they stink!

The Lake-- a pretty shot

Justin throwing a stick.

Happy Luke

Another lake shot- Pretty

Kind of an artsy picture
