Amedisys National Meeting

Amedisys has a National Meeting every year. Last year it was in Orlando, Florida and this year it was in Memphis Tennessee. The hotel was the Grand Ole' Opry Hotel and it was amazing. Here are some video's of the inside of this huge complex. It starts out a little shaky- but you'll get the idea of how wonderful this place is. As I say later, I've never wanted to visit this place, but I'm so glad I got the chance to see it.

This is just the tip of what is there. There are waterfalls, fountains, an indoor river with a boat tour of the place, I think there are 17 restaurants in there with a happening night club and it was gorgeous inside. Very cool being there.

The next few posts are posts of my time there.

More of the Hotel

My Caprese Salad at dinner on Sunday with my Boss- his name is Daniel and he's at the end of this short video. It was nice because HE paid for dinner and I didn't have to expense it!

A picture of Sunday's Dinner

Here is who was at Sunday's Dinner. The guy on the left in the glasses is Daniel--- the hottest guy there is on the right (me, of course). I got the Pork tips with gnocchi and that capresse salad. Good food and great company.

The Grand Ole Opry- before kick off

This is Monday-the first day of the meeting and here's what it looks like in the Grand Ole Opry. Lower and upper Level. I noticed when we got there the seats looked like church pews. Later on in the day a story was told how, something like, it was started in a church and the pew theme came over to the hall. I would have never made this trip outside of work, but I'm glad I got to go. It was a very nice experience.

Our Leaders on stage at the Grand Ole' Opry

These are all of Amedisys' head hauncho's. CFO, CIO, Chief Medical Officer, etc. They got the Grand Ole' Opy and put together a very cute skit on the first day of the meeting. Here's how it opened up. The short guy in the middle (that does the squat thing) is our CEO, Bill Borne. He started this company in 1982 (the year I graduated from high school) and now it's a billion dollar, Fortune 200 company. The whole day was very interesting.

The Last Speaker of the Day

This is Bill Borne. He was the last speaker of the day. For the 3 days we were there, there was a comic running around dressed like Minnie Pear- she called herself Minnie Zerchonia. She introduces Bill and it was quite funny. I wanted you to see what he looks like, and get a taste of Minnie

Amedisys Dinner Celebration

The last night of the national meeting is a nice big dinner celebration. Amedisys got a very good country-rock band, there was food, drink, and a very festive atmosphere. Here's a glimpse of the entrance to the dinner.

Here is a picture at the Celebration Dinner. The guy to the left is my boss- and the rest are people in my area.

Amedisys training at Baton Rouge Louisiana

UPDATE:
It's been years since I've been at this hell hole of a company-- horrible horrible experience.   Someone keeps visiting from Baton Rouge-- please stop.

Thank you

Here are some pictures of my stay in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I took some pictures of my hotel room, which was very nice, but I don't know where they went. They were not on the card when I uploaded it. Mom, you asked me to take pictures of the room but I don't have any- sorry.

All in all a very pleasant experience. I'm very happy at Amedisys so far.

Here are a few pictures of inside the corporate office. Everyone has a cubicle at corporate, including the CEO, Bill Borne

Mardi Gras started a week after we were there, and the big thing down there at that time were King Cakes. There is a tiny baby baked in the cake and if you get that piece, you are king for a year, according to legend (then they kill you) Here is the history of King Cake- click here for an explanation- kinda cool.

Inside the training room :

This was our trainer- his name is Gene-- very good guy:

At the air port, leaving Baton Rouge

All of us waiting for our flights out to our respective homes. Met quite a few very nice people (some annoying people as well). A quick clip of some of my training people saying good bye.
